Ms. Siobhan O’Donnell
Siobhan O’Donnell joined the Public Health Agency of Canada (the Agency) in 2008 and is currently involved in the national surveillance of arthritis, osteoporosis and mental illness within the Agency’s Centre forSurveillance and Applied Research.
Chronic disease surveillance is conducted by the Agency in order to monitor trends as well as the impacts of various chronic conditions in the Canadian population. It is undertaken using administrative and self-report data through two primary mechanisms – the Canadian Chronic Disease Surveillance System and Statistics Canada surveys.
